Registration
Registration Process
Registrations are done through the 6USC forum post / website
Signups are individual
Any State or Territory with at least 3 registered players may participate
12+ registrations: eligible for a B team
16+ registrations: eligible for a C team
Registered players will play their respective State's tryouts
Mandatory to be eligible to play in the tournament
Only required for States with more than 6 signed-up players
Staff may not play, with the exception of GFX, referees, streamers, and commentators
All registrants must stay in the Discord server until tryouts finish or they've qualified for their State
Players must stay in the server for the full duration of the tournament
Players' Discord nicknames must match their osu! usernames
Eligibility
State Merges / Stateless
States with fewer than 3 registered players compete as a Stateless team
A Host/Admin will privately contact that State's tryout organizers to discuss specifics
State merges and division of Stateless players are decided case by case
Flag Changes
Players may request a State change by messaging a Host/Admin
Must confirm affiliation with the State they wish to represent
E.g. a photo of a valid ID document — passport, driver's license, permanent residency document, tax form, student ID, etc.
Players are encouraged to blur personal info (legal name, photo, ID numbers, date of birth, etc.)
Document photos are shared only with Hosts/Admins and deleted once confirmed
Tryouts & Screening
Tryouts
A pre-tournament stage that determines each State's final roster
Only necessary for States with more than 6 players
Each State self-organizes its own tryout Discord server
A tryout mappool is provided, but organizers may use their own
The 6USC server lists all existing tryout servers in one channel
The tryout host submits a 3–6 player roster (main + B/C teams if applicable) by the end of the tryout period
Screening
Players will be screened out (not allowed to play) for:
Being out of the rank range and outside the rank buffer (TBD)
Suspicious profile or behavior
History of toxic behavior
Having been restricted within the 6 months prior to the end of the registration period
Scheduling Rules
The default schedule for every match is released on Monday
If your default time is a problem, your captain must DM the opposing captain to reschedule
If they don't respond in reasonable time, ask a Host/Admin for help
Async matches are not allowed under any circumstances
Send reschedules through #reschedule (or #reschedule-ml for the Minor League)
Reschedules sent after Friday 22:00 UTC are not guaranteed to be accepted
For 2nd Loser's Bracket matches, reschedules made more than 2 hours after the 1st match aren't guaranteed either — schedule that potential match in advance if you're unsure
Punishments
Team Warnings
Teams may receive up to two warnings for violating tournament rules
After the second warning, every player on the team is banned from future 6USC iterations
A team can be warned for:
Disrespect toward opponents, referees, or spectators
Targeted aggression or discrimination involving multiple team members
Intentionally delaying a reschedule or a match for advantage
Individual Warnings
For actions unrelated to the team — chat spam, harassment toward anyone, unsportsmanlike behavior
Penalties scale with severity:
A mute lasting from 1 week up to the end of the tournament iteration
Repeated infractions can lead to removal from the tournament
Severe Violations
Immediate disqualification or other measures, without prior warning. Examples include but aren't limited to:
Multi-accounting
Cheating
Intentional match-fixing
Any other action violating osu! rules or tournament integrity
Violations must be reported to the administration
The administration reviews all reports and determines measures based on the evidence and severity
Qualifiers
Each team signs up for a lobby of their choice
Extra lobbies are accepted depending on referee availability
Your referee pings a reminder ~15 minutes before start, and invites captain(s) 5 minutes before
All maps are played in the predetermined order, NM1 through DT3
A 90-second timer is enforced between every map
Teams may substitute any player freely between maps
After the full mappool, teams may replay it entirely
The second playthrough must happen immediately after the first
Captain(s) tell the referee if they want a replay, and which maps
The 90-second timer applies to the replay too
If a team sharing a lobby doesn't want to replay a map, they wait outside while the others finish (not needed if they're alone in the lobby)
A disconnect in the first 30 seconds of a map aborts that map
A second disconnect: the score stands as-is; replaying it in the second playthrough is recommended
If a team uses their second playthrough, the higher of the two scores is used for seeding
Seeding uses the sum of percentiles assuming a normal curve (Z-Sum)
Scores compare each map's average score, not its best score
The qualifier results reveal date/time is announced in Discord
The top 16 Major League teams advance to Ro16 of the Major League; the rest move to the Minor League
This doesn't work in reverse — Minor League teams stay in the Minor League
Match Procedure
Your referee pings a reminder ~15 minutes before match start, and invites captain(s) 5 minutes before
Fewer than 4 players after 5 minutes: your team loses all its bans
Fewer than 4 players after 10 minutes: your team forfeits the match
If BOTH teams fail to reach 4 players after 10 minutes, the lower-seeded team forfeits
Warmups are played at the scheduled start time
Must be under 4:00 drain time, contain no NSFW content, and not be from the mappool
Must be sent to a referee at least 10 minutes before the match, or the referee may disallow it
After warmups, captains !roll to decide protect/ban/pick order
The roll winner chooses either the pick or the ban order; the loser gets the remaining one
Winner: 1st Protect, 1st Ban, 1st Pick — Loser: 2nd Protect, 2nd Ban, 2nd Pick
Double bans and picks are allowed
The ban order is ABBA
Protected maps can't be banned, but can be picked by either team
Banned maps can't be picked for the rest of the match
Teams get 120 seconds to pick a map, then 90 seconds to finalize rosters and ready up
A disconnect within 30 seconds (or the first quarter of the map, whichever comes first) is eligible for an abort
One abort is allowed per match; more is at the referee's discretion
After an abort and replay, you can't change your initial roster
If the disconnected player genuinely can't play (e.g. a power outage), a substitution is permitted
A later disconnect scores as "0" unless proven otherwise via:
The last seen score from a match stream
A stream of the player's own POV
A replay file plus a screenshot of the results screen
For heavy timer abuse or stalling, after 2 warnings the referee may start the map even if a team isn't ready
Freemod Rules
Player 1 must take HD, EZ, or EZHD
Player 2 must take HR or HDHR
Player 3 is Freemod — any allowed mods or combinations, including NM
Aside from mod combos HDHR and EZHD, EZ and FL also count as two mods
EZ/EZHD will have map-specific custom multipliers displayed on the Main Sheet.
All other mods/mod combinations are not allowed.
In case the map ends in a tie of score, the map will be replayed. Please note you will not be able to swap players in the replay.
Each team gets one 2-minute timeout per game
The tiebreaker map is Freemod including NM
Timeouts aren't allowed once the tiebreaker is reached, a 3-minute timer applies instead
In case a Bracket Reset occurs, teams do not have to play it immediately after the Grand Finals match (although they may do that if they wish) and are free to reschedule it to a more convenient time.
